We partnered with The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile to provide greater access to students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus. We created a complete virtual map of campus, allowing anyone to explore accessibly with audio guidance indoors and out. From quads to commons to indoor spaces like classrooms, dorms, and office buildings, nearly every location on campus can be explored accessibly with Lazarillo.

Students are provided a detailed map of campus right from their smartphones, as well as information about specific buildings such as the presence of wheelchair accessible entrances, hours of operation, the location of various amenities, and even the option to contact staff for support. Maps can be updated at any time and the University can send users accessible alerts notifying them of changes on campus such as temporary construction zones.

We’ve partnered with Tier to allow people who are blind or visually impaired to be given audible messages in real time when they approach Tier e-scooter parking locations, and report poorly parked e-scooters directly to Tier using the Lazarillo app. This partnership makes it easier for people with disabilities to make their voices heard and communicate with micromobility operators like Tier directly, improving safety and accessibility. This integration is currently available in London, and we hope to expand the service to more cities in the near future.
